Website Essentials for Entrepreneurs
Everything You Need For A Website
That Attracts More Clients and Builds Your Business
(one that is stress-free and doesn’t require you to spend thousands of dollars)
Have you been asked recently about your website and felt embarrassed because you didn’t have one or it wasn’t up to date? You probably made an excuse about it and tried to change the subject. You might have even said to yourself “I really have to sort that out!”
As you probably already know, having a website has become an expectation in business – many people think if you aren’t online, you’re not a real business. Sure, some people will still do business with you, but…
How many business opportunities could you missing?
A visitor’s experience with your website can make or break whether or not they want to become a customer. If they can’t find it, they’ll search for a similar service in Google. If it’s confusing or doesn’t communicate the right information, they’ll click on to a competitor. They’ll be gone forever.
What are your clients looking for on your website?
If you’ve ever gone through the process of putting a website online before, you probably quickly realized that it’s more complicated than just going to a web developer and telling them the colours you like. You’ll need to create content to fill the pages – and good marketing content that is enticing to your audience.
This is where it can get sticky.
Most Web Developers focus on building the code for your site and leave the content up to you (rightly so since their expertise is building code). Since your expertise is in your business, you could probably just sit down and collect all the facts about your business and send them on over to the web developer.
The biggest mistake small businesses make online is they assume their website is about THEM.
But it’s not.
People go through their lives thinking about themselves – their problems, their needs, their desires. You’ve probably had the experience of meeting a person at a social event or party who does nothing about talk about themselves. How did you feel? You probably wanted to excuse yourself as quickly as possible!
People want to be engaged. The want to be asked questions, explore possibilities and build relationships with others in authentic ways.
And, they expect no different when online.
Imagine, having a website that authentically engages your visitors inviting them to access the resources and services you have to offer.
A great website is a foundation for building a strong presence for your business. It supports you to grow, automates vital communications with new visitors to your site and helps establish your credibility as an expert in your industry.
A great website works 24 hours a day, drawing new people that you might never had the time or means to reach.
The possibilities that can open with the right website are limitless!
