Great points, Jaime. I gave a talk today here in Stockholm and showed the audience pictures of some of the audience that I’d got access to in my lunch hour on Facebook. We weren’t “friends” but I managed to grab pics of them drunk, passing out, smoking something other than tobacco in just a matter of seconds.

I blanked out the faces but they REALLY got the point. Privacy is SOOO important if you don’t want the Net to come back and bite you.

Yeah changing the hairstyle should probably make the list because it can so dramatically change how you look. Actually it’s the same with glasses. All my pictures are without my glasses, which is how I am when I’m not working, but when people meet me for the first time in business, I’m usually wearing them and they don’t recognize me. Jamie – I am totally guilty of neglecting this area and your post is a great kick in the butt. I have been using amateur shots that don’t break any of your rules…although the fact that I did a Locks of Love hair donation means they are out of date. I think it’s time for me to shape up when it comes to photos, so thanks for the link to Donna, too!
